Blog - Emu Park Online
Mr Google Loves Us
Jeff Quigley -Saturday, July 25, 2015Mr Google and his search team think that our new www.emuparkonline.com.au website is "Awesome".
I can confirm that many, many hours were put into the upgrading and design of the New Website Platform to make it a mobile design, user friendly, searchable
site.
For the record the site is classified as a Liquid Responsive Website. Mr Google has confirmed that he is more than happy with Emu Park Online
and just for the record he (Mr Google) has discretely indicated that websites that are not mobile device friendly will not be ranked favourably in
the near future. We at EPOL accepted Googles advice, hence the new site.
Anyhow grab your mobile or tablet and check it out for yourselves.

EPOL has recently been upgraded and rebuilt to a new phone friendly responsive website.
The Emus Gone Responsive..."we are now the future"
Jeff Quigley -Tuesday, July 14, 2015Way back in the year 2002 the idea came about to create a Directory - Tourist Information website for Emu Park and the surrounding districts of the southern
end of the Capricorn Coast as at the time everything was deemed to be Yeppoon, Yeppoon and Yeppoon. (Some today still see the same problem).
Technically the site was created in a format that suited the times. Back then no one ever envisaged that they would be able to call up Emu Park
Online on a screen on a device that was held in their hands or sitting in a carrybag or in a large purse. Fast Forward - now it is just part
of our every day lifestyle.
Walk down any street and what do you see - people of all ages staring into their hands looking at the internet. Ask someone the time these days
and the first thing they do is reach for their phones and flick it on. Ask someone if they know the telephone number of so and so or where they
can find a local tradie. What do they do - straight to the phone.
Although still very popular www.emuparkonline.com.au in its old format has passed its used by date. So now with the help of some brilliant minds and
modern technology we have bit the bullet and have rebuilt the entire website from the ground up. (eventually all websites will have to be changed)
IT IS NOW A FULLY RESPONSIVE - DEVICE FRIENDLY WEBSITE.
Hundreds of pages and content had to be rebuilt for the upgrade. Over the years 188 Local Businesses, 20 Accomodations, 75 Clubs have listed
with Emu Park Online. These entries had to recreated into the new format.
The Emu Park Online Team hopes you enjoy the new experience of viewing our new you beaut top shelf responsive website.
WHAT IS A RESPONSIVE WEBSITE?
