Oldies -v- Youngies Emu Park 2010
The Oldies Youngies Cancer Challenge Rugby League Match and Family Fun Day took place on Saturday the 9th of October.
The evergreen Oldies again handed the valiant Youngies a lesson in dinosaur Rugby League by beating them by the tune of 30 points to 16. The alleged superior fitness of the Oldies saw them run in a couple of late tries to seal another monumental victory for good over evil.
The day also involves the Squeak Roberts Ironman Race (this year through the kind donation of the Roberts Family the prize money was raised to a magnificent $300.00). The race was won by local Firery Sean Slotosch. Sean quickly donated half of his winnings back to the Cancer appeal.
The kids were not left out, with races, party balloons and free lollies.
The organisers would like to thank one and all for attending, especially the players and Ref Richard Doyle for providing a great torrid game of League. Again it was a case of take no prisoners.
